Six at present. Maybe one more isn't pushing it too far.

I regularly use Mark of Instablility, and on occasion Iron Palm and Entangling Asp. However, 95% of my gaming is PvE.

Sure, I can see that.

I have no problem with you disagreeing with me, after all the purpose of this thread is for us to offer our opinions on the new skils and open discussion about them; however, I feel a personal attack was unneccessary.

I said a new dual attack, this does not imply I would use it all the time - just on occassion when dabbling with deadly arts builds (as I suggested I would be doing earlier on in my post).
Like I say, 95% of my gaming is PvE - I am sure there are plenty of PvP players who will utilise these skills really well, I was merely offering an opinion.
Please Siva, disagree with me, tell me I'm wrong but keep it civil and I will offer you the same respect.

Apologies if I have double posted this, I'm having a little trouble with the board.

Six, so perhaps seven isn't too many.

I regularly use Mark of Instablility (it's in one of my preferred builds), and on occassion Iron Palm and Entangling Asp. But then again, 95% of my play is PvE - perhaps PvP assassins do need more knock-down.

OK, I can see that.

I am well aware of that; however, the new deadly arts skills will allow for some truly interesting builds. I did not mean to imply that I will use this as a dual attack all the time, it will simply be a dual attack skill that I will use.

Feel free to disagree with me, after all this thread is for us to offer our opinions on the new skills and discuss them; however, personal attacks are best left elsewhere. Tell me I'm wrong, but keep it civil and I will offer you the same respect.

Anyone else kind of disappointed for the new skills? I thought there would be more Ritualist and Monk skills that would help out for farming. I was hoping for more skills and new Elites to use! I know there is going to be pve-only title skills to use also, but leveling up a title is time consuming. But hopefully leveling a title will be worth it this time around. New Elite skills would mean new builds, and that would definately give some people something to do when all else fails. I don't think there will be any completely new builds since there will be no new elites. Builds will basically be almost the same, but with 1-3 Alternative skills to add to farming builds.
The new skills are mainly aimed towards doing quest and missions with a party. Hopefully I'm wrong, we won't know for sure what everything is going to be like until we are able to get our hands dirty on the new skills. I can't wait, a month is just too long!! Still disappointed about the Elite skills... sh*tty deal.

Dark Aura

Dark Pact
Masochism
Wallow's Bite
Blood of the Aggressor
Rez
Just one new skill can allow for longer spamming of the damage dealing skills. I see potential for a build like this to become too powerful.
Dual Shot
Forked Arrow
Needling Shot
Defile Defenses
Glass Arrows
Lightning Reflexes/Tigers Fury
Splinter Shot
Rez
With one skill from secondary, Rangers will rape Stance warriors, Protect Monks, and most other Rangers using stances.
Shadow Fang/Expose Defenses
Black Mantis Thrust
Jungle Strike
Trampling Ox
Falling Spider
Twisting Fangs
Signet of Deadly Corruption
Rez
Hex your target, then you Cripple->extra damage->knockdown->poison->bleeding+deep wound->finishing blow. I see possible destruction for nearly anything with the easier to use knockdown. Horns of the Ox works well with Falling Spider, but requires no allies to be near your target. With all conditions a Sin can use, the new Signet will be powerful indeed.
I obviously have not tried any of these builds, but I see potential imbalance in many of the new skills. I doubt they will be in the same form at release, or if they are, they will get nerfed fast.

Just about anything can kill a stance warrior these days. Simply put the Dervish and Assassin have better protections/ defensive / & IAS skills then a Warrior does. Overall the days of the stance & tanking is over IMO. Disarm ( a new skill for GW:EN) will be about the only good defense skill left to the Warrior once GW:EN is released and should deal effectively with SIN"s. Quite honestly I'm disappointed with a lack of any new good Tactic's & stance options and a better IAS for the warrior.
I find it sad that a Dervish who can stack enchants, and a Critical agility SIN, has better stay power then a fully armored Warrior who can't stack armor anymore. Sucks to be a warrior these days.

The dervish skills are absolutely fantastic; some of them are definitely making it into the dervish set up for our gvg build. Check this out, neat ra build I'll try when this goes live:
Radiant Scythe
Lyssa's Assault
Zealous Sweep
Avatar of Lyssa
Pious Fury
Grenth's Aura
Rending Touch
Ressurection Signet
Those new scythe attacks are simply fantastic.

Apparently, GW:EN skills are mostly going to be a skill balance. It's not fair to classes already considered 'overpowered', that everyone else is getting cool, useful skills. Balance the old skills, and give everyone balanced new skills.
I like how mesmers are just as useless in PvE but even more dominant in PvP.
The water line must have always been some sort of mistake, because apparently Anet never intended for anyone to use it.
The Fire spell is also really, really bad.
I love the energy storage one, I've been asking for something similar for a long time.

I can see sum of all fears being an interesting new alternative for sins who use siphon speed as a hex lead. Sin hexes are nice, but they give away any kind of spike. And monk with half a brain will see siphon speed, SP, or Expose on them and almost always instantly cast PS , SB , or end veil.

Yeah, nobody uses fire anyway! They should really beef up that line some.
It's probably because the fire runes are over a plat each. *nods*

If Anet wanted to shy people away from fire, they should make the other lines usable in PvE, instead of giving us useless GW:EN skills.

a lot of these skills are nice
Things Liked:
1. Atrophy- what was anet thinking when they made it?
2. Smiter's Boon- Smite monks yay
3. Disarm- just nice
4. Power Lock- non elite power block nice
5. Glyph of Immolation- nice ele combos now
Thing i hate:
1. do we really need more buffs for steady stance warriors?
In all though, the skills in theory are just wow

If a decent warrior player is using it then i feel my monk is really getting hurt.
Atrophy : this skill completely killed Ele , Para, Ranger and Sin, because these four professions rely on their primary attribute too much. Atrophy is much stronger than Signet of Humility. and if u used Atrophy on monk in gvg or pvp = i have no idea what should say but atleast it has a short duration and long recharged.
